For my personal ministry hours this week I helped serve at
Feed My Sheep. Feed My Sheep is such a
great place to serve because all the volunteers have such great attitudes and willing
to go the extra mile. At my time there I
prepared chicken, chopped garlic, and did a bunch of other odd jobs. I was particularly excited about preparing
the chicken because that is something I have never done before. Clarence showed me how to cut and slice it
and I think that I did a pretty good job.
After we were done preparing the food, we were able to greet
and serve the people. I love this time
of fellowship. Because Feed My Sheep is
a place that I have been to multiple times I have been able to build relationships
with the people. They will tell me
these crazy stories and I will encourage them that there is always hope and let
them know that they are in my prayers.
All together I was there a little over 4 hours. Between the preparing, the fellowship
serving, and clean-up I had a great time and was able to spread a little bit of
encouragement throughout the day.
